Larry Appelbaum to deliver a lecture on jazz within the framework of the Alfa Jazz Fest

On June 3, 2012, within the framework of international Alfa Jazz Fest in Lviv, jazz connoisseurs shall have an opportunity to meet up with one of the USA’s most deserved jazz experts: Larry Appelbaum, Senior Music Reference Specialist, Music Division, Library of Congress in Washington D.C. shall deliver a public lecture entitled What's Going On: Issues and Controversies in Jazz.

As writer, Larry Appelbaum has also been contributing a lot to a number of American jazz editions, to such magazines as «Джаз.ру» (Russia) and «Контрапункт» (Ukraine), and he is a presenter of jazz clinic called Sound of Surprise on Washington radio at WPFW. He will be a special guest of the Alfa Jazz Fest and confront both the press and musicians and all jazz enthusiasts. The lecture shall take place at 12 am in Karelia hall of Leopolis hotel, Lviv, in 16 Teatralna Str.
