Gregory Porter is one of the world’s leading jazz and soul vocalists and composers. He has released four studio albums. His debut album, Water, was released in 2010 and was nominated for a Grammy for best jazz vocal album. A composition called ‘Be Good’, from his eponymous second album, which was released two years later, was nominated for a Grammy for best traditional R&B performance. Gregory’s album Liquid Spirit turned him into a worldwide celebrity and one of the most in-demand singers all over the world. Liquid Spirit went platinum, was among the top 10 albums on the British charts and won a Grammy Award for best jazz vocal album. Gregory’s next work, Take Me to the Alley, which was released in 2016, was one of the most anticipated jazz albums of the year, later capturing a Grammy Award in the category Best Jazz Vocal Album, which Gregory received at the awards ceremony in 2017.
