Lars Danielsson

Lars Danielsson is a Swedish bass player, bass-guitar player, cellist, composer and arranger.

Before he began playing the bass, and even before his ardour for jazz, Lars attended classical cello classes at Gothenburg Conservatory.

He is best known as a leader of his own quartet, as well as due to collaboration with such artists as Randy and Michael Brecker, John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Mike Stern, Billy Hart, Charles Lloyd, Terri Lyne Carrington and Dave Kikoski. He also was a "Trilok Gurtu Group" member.

As a producer, Lars Danielsson worked with Cæcilie Norby, Jonas Johansen, the Danish Radio Orchestra and Viktoria Tolstoy.

As a leader he recorded eight albums under the ACT label name. In 2012, he teamed up to record "Liberetto" release with famous Armenian pianist: Tigran Hamasyan, e.s.t.drummer Magnus Öström, guitarist John Parricelli and trumpet player Arve Henriksen. The album is synthesis of chamber jazz, classical music and European folk music.

In Lviv City, Lars Danielsson will present Liberetto 2 program in quartet format.
