One of the most respected and influential guitarists in the world Al Di Meola (www.aldimeola.com) will perform on Alfa Jazz Fest in 2013 as one of the festival headliners.
One of the greatest guitarists of all time by the magazine Classic Rock and many time winner in reader polls of Guitar Player magazine. Di Meola performs the music of any style equally well. But his jazz fusion records, influenced by Latin music, have made the greatest recognition.
Worldwide fame has gained thanks to the pianist Chick Corea, who invited the young guitarist to his fusion project Return To Forever. Records as part of this band, as well as numerous solo albums soon put him in a raw with today's leading guitarists of the world.
In 2011, for the album Pursuit of Radical Rhapsody Di Meola recorded a song by John Lennon and Paul McCartney Strawberry Fields. The next step in this direction was the album that entirely consists of cover versions of songs by Beatles. This project will be presented in Lviv on June 14, 2013.
