Misha Tsiganov and “More Standards”

The project was established by pianist Misha Tsiganov, a brilliant representative of the modern New York jazz.
Born in St. Petersburg (Russia) this musician has moved to the U.S. in early 90's of the last century, as he had received an invitation to study at the renowned Berkley College of Music from the legendary Gary Burton. Two years later, the musician finally moved to New York, where he played and recorded with the best representatives of US jazz. His partners were Chico Freeman, Randy and Michael Breckers, Joe Chambers, Gary Bartz, Antonio Sanchez, Alex Sipyagin, Clark Terry, Wynton Marsalis, Claudio Rodini and many others.
Band of Misha Tsiganov is going present in Lviv its new album More Standards, which will be released on the eve of the festival Alfa Jazz Fest 2013.
Famous "Russian New Yorkers” will perform together with the leader: trumpeter Alex Sipiagin and bassist Boris Kozloy, as well as American musicians: saxophonist Seamus Blake and drummer Donald Edwards.
