IT Jazz Conference: IT, Lviv and Music
Everything can happen in Lviv, even a combination of IT and jazz music. The IT Jazz conference will take part on June 23-24, during the Alfa Jazz Festival. The conference will unite IT entrepreneurs, famous international speakers and politicians to talk about the development of IT industry in Liv. The event will take place at Alfa Jazz Lounge in the courtyard of Lviv City Hall (Rynok Square, 1).
On Friday 23, there will be three panel discussions on different important topics – technology development in Ukraine, investments as well as the creative city. At 11 am during the first discussion “Ukraine on the verge of technological singularity: Truth or Myth?”, attendees will have a chance to listen to three speakers: Taras Kytsmey, President of IT Ukraine Association, Member of the Board, SoftServe, Diane Francis, Member of Advisory Council, Hudson Institute Kleptocracy Initiative, Nataliya Mykolska, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Trade Representative of Ukraine; Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, CEO, Raiffeisen Bank Aval; Oleksiy Skrypnyk, Eleks Co-Founder, Member of Parliament.
The second discussion “Investment & M&A in the Ukrainian tech world” will take place at 12:30 with such speakers: Bakhrom Ibragimov, EBRD Associate Director, Senior Banker ICT, EBRD; Deepak Bhandari, Head of Europe and Director Avendus UK, Avendus; Lenna Koszarny, Founding Partner and CEO, Horizon Capital; Gerry Cahill, EBRD Advisor for Small Business, Senior Industry Adviser on ICT business, EBRD and Dimitri Lisitski, CEO, Influ2.
The last discussion will be devoted to the topic of “Creative City: Dynamics, Innovations, Actions”. Elena Voloshina, Head of IFC’s operations in Ukraine, International Finance Corporation; Yaroslav Rushchyshyn, Director, Trottola; Andriy Sadovyi, Lviv City Mayor; Oleh Denys, Executive Vice President, SoftServe; Andrew Pavliv, Supervisory Board Chairman, Lviv IT Cluster, CEO & Co-Founder, N-iX will join this discussion.
The discussions of the first day of IT Jazz will end up with the concerts of Alfa Jazz Fest, which will take place on three stages around the city: at Rynok Square, near the Pototsky Palace and at the Park of Culture.
Everyone interested in new technologies and infrastructure in the city will have a chance to visit a presentation of the biggest infrastructure project in Lviv – Innovation District IT Park. The presentation will take place on Saturday, June 24, at 16:30 at the future location of this innovative project – Chmoly St., 1.
IT Park is the biggest infrastructure project of Lviv IT industry which will expand on 10 hectares and is expected to become the main center for IT business in Lviv and help IT companies grow. It will consist of modern office facilities, a university campus, a kindergarten, a shopping mall with a big food court, and a hotel.
