On June 25 the Caryl Baker Quartet will perform at Rynok Square Stage
On 25 June the Caryl Baker Quartet – pianist Caryl Baker, drummer Luigi Galati, bassist Emanuel Schnyder and tenor saxophonist Domenic Landorf – are going to perform at the Rynok Square in Lviv. Their performance will be supported by the Embassy of Switzerland.
All four musicians attended various famous jazz schools in Bern, Montreux and Lucerne and have been performing on the European jazz scene for many years. Their two recent studio albums were recorded with collaboration of legendary saxophonist, composer and producer Chico Freeman. Together they are going to perform in Lviv as well. Chico Freeman, a two-time Grammy nominee, is one of those musicians who brought back the interest in acoustic jazz in the ´80s. Chico is a very eclectic musician who can play various styles ranging from R’n’B to avant-garde jazz. The Caryl Baker Quartet and Chico Freeman’s music is the combination of lyricism, excellent rhythmical energy, restraint and exuberance.
