Frederik Köster is a German jazz trumpeter, composer and arranger. He has released seven albums with his quartet. One of his latest projects is called «Die Verwandlung» («The Metamorphosis»). He is a permanent participant in major jazz festivals such as Jazz Baltica, Moers Festival, and the North Sea Jazz Festival. He has won the Jazz Hoeilaart International Contest in Belgium, ECHO JAZZ for his Zeichen der zeit album, and WDR Jazzpreis in the category «Improvisation». In 2017 he won his second ECHO JAZZ award for his Canada album.
