Kathrine Windfeld

The winner of the LetterOne RISING STARS Jazz Award 2019 (European Edition), Danish pianist Kathrine Windfeld is one of the brightest composers and arrangers of Scandinavian jazz.
In early 2014, she founded a big band, and a year later released the album Aircraft, which received critical acclaim. The follow up album, Latency, was released in March 2017 and acclaimed by leading music magazines outside Scandinavia. The third album with Kathrine Windfeld Big Band was released on Stunt Records and called Orca. In September of the same year, Windfeld went on tour with the Swedish Bohuslän Big Band and recorded an album with 8 new compositions specially created for the project. The album will be released in autumn 2021.
As a composer, Kathrine has worked with DR Big Band, Bohuslän Big Band and HR Radio Big Band in Frankfurt.
The concert will be held with the support of the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine.
