Dirty Dozen Brass Band  - one of the oldest brass bands in New Orleans, founded more than three decades ago. The leader of the band - trumpeter and vocalist Gregory Davis is known not only as a musician, but also as an art director of the largest jazz festival New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The band unites the traditional New Orleans music with such styles as funk and bebop. From the music of Dirty Dozen Brass Band you can feel incredible freedom that brings together, for example, jazz standards and popular melodies by means of the arrangements.

Over the years, as special guests with Dirty Dozen Brass Band performed and recorded Dr. John, Dizzy Gillespie, Branford Marsalis, Elvis Costello, Norah Jones and John Medeski. Overall the band's discography includes 15 albums.

On June 13, 2013 the band will perform on Alfa Jazz Fest with a new program (album of 2012 Twenty Dozen). Visit of the festival will be the first performance of Dirty Dozen Brass Band in Ukraine.
