Avishai Cohen together with Orchestra "INSO-Lviv" will perform at Alfa Jazz Fest
Israeli jazz bassist, composer, singer and arranger Avishai Cohen will perform with the Orchestra "INSO-Lviv" at Alfa Jazz Fest on June, 24. Famous musician gained fame when he became member of Chick Corea’s band «Origin», also performed with such stars as Daniel Perez, Bobby McFerrin, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Jeff Ballard, Roy Hargrove, Herbie Hancock, Paquito D'Rivera and many others. Avishai Cohen have recorded 15 albums. Chick Corea considers him "a brilliant musician" and Bass Player magazine put his name in the list of 100 most influential bassists of XX century.
Avishai Cohen will perform together with Symphony Orchestra "INSO-Lviv".
The Artistic Director of the orchestra, which was founded in 1998, is the People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of Taras Shevchenko National Prize, Academician of Ukrainian Academy of Arts, Professor, Candidate of Art History, The Hero of Ukraine – Myroslav Skoryk.
Each year the orchestra is traditionally involved in the international festivals held both in Ukraine and abroad. Last year “INSO-Lviv” together with Vadim Neselovskyi opened Alfa Jazz Fest in Lviv.
The Orchestra holds several awards and recognitions, among them: Radio Swiss Classic «Love» Award; «Golden Disc» «Franz Xaver Mozart Klavierkonzerte» Award and others. Young Symphony Orchestra «INSO-Lviv" - a bright palette of emotions and harmony embodied in the music that the orchestra musicians willing to share with the audience.
Performance will be supported by the Embassy of Israel to Ukraine.
