Bobby McFerrin, the famous American jazz vocalist, conductor and ten-time Grammy Award winner, will perform on 28 June at Leopolis Jazz Fest

Bobby McFerrin is one of the world’s best-known vocal improvisers – his voice is a musical instrument all on its own. McFerrin’s work combines jazz, pop music, folk and world music. He has worked with music stars such as Yo-Yo Ma, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, YellowJackets, Tower Of Power and many more.

McFerrin will perform his Gimme5 (circlesongs) program. The concert hall in Bogdan Khmelnitsky Park will accommodate an improvised choir in which every concertgoer will participate, directed by Bobby McFerrin in an impulsive adventure with jazz, pop, and classic R&B music.

This idea was first implemented on the album “Circlesongs” 1997, recorded by the Voicestra vocal group. The 12 members of group included opera, gospel, jazz, pop and R&B vocalists.
