Happy Birthday to Lars Danielsson!
Lars Danielsson is best known as a leader of his own quartet, as well as due to collaboration with such artists as Randy and Michael Brecker, John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Mike Stern, Billy Hart, Charles Lloyd, Terri Lyne Carrington and Dave Kikoski. He also was a "Trilok Gurtu Group" member.
As a producer, Lars Danielsson worked with Cæcilie Norby, Jonas Johansen, the Danish Radio Orchestra and Viktoria Tolstoy.
As a leader he recorded eight albums under the ACT label name. In 2012, he teamed up to record "Liberetto" release with famous Armenian pianist: Tigran Hamasyan, e.s.t.drummer Magnus Öström, guitarist John Parricelli and trumpet player Arve Henriksen. The album is synthesis of chamber jazz, classical music and European folk music.
