"INSO-Lviv" will perform on the Stage on the Rynok square on June 28
INSO-Lviv (International Symphony Orchestra) is one of the best examples of a Ukrainian cultural product worthy of worldwide recognition and this fact is confirmed continuously by its cooperation with world-renowned musicians and conductors. The quality of the music and high mastery are its distinguishing factors and, ultimately, giving it the flexibility in its choice of repertoire: from classical to jazz, from opera to musicals and popular music. This attracts internationally renowned soloists, who have successfully performed in INSO-Lviv concert programs, as well as conductors, with whom the orchestra maintains a fruitful and successful cooperation.
INSO-Lviv is one of the orchestras that has toured extensively outside the homeland and graces the stages not only in Europe, but also in China, Colombia and Egypt. The orchestra's CDs have received Radio Swiss Classic awards. In 2017, the orchestra began an extensive collaboration with the British label, Toccata Classics. The CD entitled Paganini by Arrangement was released in the fall of 2018 and was immediately included in the BBC Radio 3 Records Review list.
It is a great honor for the orchestra that its longtime artistic director was the People's Artist of Ukraine, the winner of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize, the academician of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine, the professor, the candidate of art history, the Hero of Ukraine Myroslav Skoryk (1938-2020). Now the artistic director of the orchestra is Valeriy Sokolov.
Since 2007, the Chairman of the Board of the orchestra and the ideological inspirer of many projects and programs is Yolanta Pryshliak.
A Ukrainian jazz singer, pianist, composer and arranger, Tamara Lukasheva, who now worthily represents Ukraine in Germany, will join the orchestra at the concert. She was born in a musical family in Odessa, graduated from Donetsk Conservatory, was enrolled in four German Conservatory at once in 2010 and decided to stay in Cologne, where she still lives and creates concert shows based on Ukrainian folk songs following the modern European jazz visions, together with German and Austrian musicians. Further to that, Tamara Lukasheva has a fantastic vocal technique, and in her voice she always manifests extreme sincerity, due to which she is warmly received by the audience worldwide.
The concert program will be partially composed of works by Odessa composer and pianist Yuriy Kuznetsov, as well as works by Tamara Lukasheva, which were written at different times, and reflect her emotional state, nature, and her feelings about people at one time or another.
