Leopolis Jazz Fest is launching a partnership with USAID
The project of accessibility and environmental awareness of the festival Leopolis Jazz Fest has been implemented with the support of the USAID/ENGAGE program. The purpose of this project is to support initiatives aimed at raising public awareness about ecology and inclusiveness.
During the festival, there will be trainings for staff and volunteers on the accessibility of the festival for people with disabilities and ecological consciousness.
The festival will be provided with the necessary infrastructure for people with disabilities: individual platforms near the scenes, ramps, special rubber and metal rugs, accessible toilets.
To promote environmental awareness, Leopolis Jazz Fest will have special containers for sorting and recycling garbage, and a children's playground "Sort together" with a game banner, cubes depicting different types of waste and interesting news and garbage facts will be available for children.
Note:
USAID/ENGAGE activity is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact. Pact has worked in Ukraine since 2006 in the areas of governance, capacity development, and health. The purpose of ENGAGE is to increase citizen awareness of and engagement in civic actions at the national, regional and local level.
