Marcus Miller will perform at Leopolis Jazz Fest 2018
Traditionally, on New Year’s Eve we announce the name of the first headliner of Leopolis Jazz Fest 2018.
On 1st of July American jazz multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, arranger, two-time Grammy Award winner Marcus Miller will perform on the stage dedicated to Eddie Rosner!
Marcus Miller is a world-famous bass player who also performs as a keyboardist and bass clarinet player. His name has been heading the critics and readers polls for three decades. As a sideman, he recorded about 500 albums covering a huge range of musical styles: rock (Donald Fagen, Eric Clapton), jazz (George Benson, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Sample, Wayne Shorter, Grover Washington, Jr., David Sanborn), pop (Roberta Flack, Paul Simon, Mariah Carey), R & B (Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan), hip-hop (Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg), blues (ZZ Hill) and others.
Being a producer, composer and performer, he was one of the last who worked with the jazz legend Miles Davis (album "Tutu"), wrote music for the iconic film "Siesta", which was performed by Miles Davis.
