The first headliner of Alfa Jazz Fest 2017
On New Year’s eve we start sharing with you the secrets of the program of Alfa Jazz Fest 2017.
And the first headliner, whom we would like to announce, is Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. The orchestra of 20 people that combines swing of the 1930s and 1940s with contemporary music such as funk and jazz fusion. Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band has received many nominations and two Grammy Awards for the best arrangement ("On Green Dolphin Street", 2014) and the best large jazz ensemble album (Life in the Bubble, 2016).
Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band will perform on June, 23 at the Stage dedicated to Eddie Rosner.
