British vocalist, pianist and composer Jamie Cullum will headline Leopolis Jazz Fest
Jamie Cullum is the one of the most successful UK jazz artists, having sold over 10 million albums worldwide. He has been nominated for various awards including a Grammy, three BRITs, won the Ronnie Scotts Jazz Award.
He has already left his mark in the history of jazz by releasing the multi platinum album Twentysomething.
Jamie Cullum has the ability and versatility to combine musical genres blurring their boundaries, uniquely combining jazz, pop and rock.
Jamie presented several documentaries for BBC Radio, which were dedicated to Blue Note Records, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix and Quincy Jones. He currently presents his own award-winning, weekly show for BBC Radio 2, the highest rated station in Europe. Jamie’s radio show has won two New York Radio Awards and the prestigious Gold Sony Radio Award in the UK.
Cullum recorded his first album "Heard It All Before" at the age of 19. He gained fame, working with jazz bassist Geoff Gascoyne, who invited him to participate in the recording of the album "Songs of the Summer". Supported by the musician, Cullum recorded the second album "Pointless Nostalgic" in 2002. In 2003, he signed a contract with Universal Records and had a breakthrough in his career by creating "Twentysomething". After that, the album "Catching Tales" followed. A year later he released the album "The Pursuit". In 2013, Cullum returned with his sixth studio album "Momentum", and in 2014 released "Interlude". Jamie Cullum's albums and singles have reached the top of European charts.
