Winner of LetterOne «Rising Stars» Adrien Brandeis will headline Leopolis Jazz Fest
Young French jazz pianist and composer Adrien Brandeis will perform at the main stage of Leopolis Jazz Fest on June 26.
He has several pianistic influences: from Ruben Gonzalez to Brad Meldhau, passing by Michel Camilo, Chick Corea, Osmany Paredes Rebeca Mauleon, Jon Lord, Red Garland, Wynton Kelly, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans.
He produced and released his first album ‘Euforia’ in 2018. The record has received positive reviews. Raul da Gama wrote: “Euphoria is not just an apt name for his disc, but a deeply felt response to what the “clave” embedded in Latin-Jazz does to him – body and soul”.
The young, award winning and highly versatile pianist is steeped in Jazz, Latin and Afro-Caribbean music. Adrien displays great lyricism in his playing, combined with an urban pianistic approach.
As winner of the LetterOne “Rising Stars” Jazz Award, Adrien will embark on a tour along 7 major jazz festivals in Europe among which is Leopolis Jazz Fest.
